  • gas, oil, and coolants from leaking automobiles and industrial equipment
  • pathogens from industrial waste and overloaded septic systems
  • sediment from construction activities
  • toxic materials from industrial processes
  • thermal pollution caused by water running over hot roofs and parking lots

Anything that enters a storm sewer system is discharged untreated into the same water that we use for swimming, fishing, and drinking.
